Product Owner

The Role

We are looking for an individual motivated to take ownership of our Chatbot Platform, which is due for release shortly. The successful candidate will have worked with all the languages specified and can demonstrate this understanding to us.

The role’s primary purpose is to own the development and maintenance of our Chatbot Platform by guiding and working closely with our Product Development team. This will be in the form of training, mentoring and getting into the code themselves.


  • Lead the Product Development Team.
  • Continually assess the Product Development Teams’ performance to ensure we maximise their efforts.
  • Keep the Product Development Team informed and motivated about the Product and its vision.
  • Act as a bridge to connect the Product and vision with the Product Development Team.
  • Understanding and representing user needs to the Product Development Team.
  • Manage the Product Development Team workloads, ensuring work is allocated according to skill and availability.
  • Understand the history of the Product and be able to articulate the reasoning behind decisions made.
  • Fully understand the architecture of the Product
  • Breaking down extensive features and requests into smaller bite-size tasks.
  • Arranging and prioritising development sprints.
  • Evaluating progress at each stage of development.
  • Answering dev questions about the reasoning for user stories or tasks.
  • Continually review Product bugs and associated remediation actions.
  • Understand industry changes that impact the Product.
  • Assess, plan and execute the Product Roadmap, including estimating the required effort.
  • Continually assess best practices in development techniques, processes and tooling, reporting to senior Development Division members where necessary.
  • Review and report to senior Development Division colleagues any process improvements that can be achieved as part of our CSI strategy.
  • Perform industry research on the Product to understand the marketplace innovations in the Product space and help guide it, keeping it sustainable and relevant to the market.

Additional Information

This full-time role would initially be from 9:00-17:30, Monday to Friday.
